The Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 25 is located at 5505 S. Hansel Avenue on the shores of Lake Conway in south Orlando.  In late 2008, the old Lodge was scheduled for demolition in preparation for constructing a new steel frame structure to serve as the meeting hall for FOP Lodge 25.  The demolition and other pre-construction activities were complete in the Spring of 2009.  We have been ready to go into the full-blown construction phase for some time now; however, the economy has been in a tail spin and lenders are even more cautious on their lending - especially to non-profits and not-for-profit corporations.

Fortunately, I am happy to report the FOP Lodge 25 has made contact with two nationally recognized financial institutions and both are reviewing the financials of Lodge 25.  We are hopeful the competative nature of lending will provide the Lodge with the best terms on a loan.  I am optimistic on a favorable outcome in the coming weeks.  More to come on this in the near future.

In the meantime, please take a look at the proposed floor plan and artist rendering of the new FOP Lodge 25.  You may also make a specific donation towards the Building Fund.

The shaded orange area is the covered patio portion of the new Lodge 25.  In the future, laser etched bricks will be sold in order to offset the construction costs.  Those who purchase the bricks will be able to show their support and inscribe a 3 line message with the FOP Star logo to the left.  Other variations of these bricks will be sold as well.  Approximately 600 bricks would cover the patio portion of the Lodge.  The circular area is a bar with half of the bar extending outside overlooking Lake Conway.  The floor plan is rotated in the site plan below and shows the parking lot, bathrooms, etc. to the Lodge itself.

Please remember, this facility benefits the members and the community as a lower-cost-venue to hold fundraisers and other charitable events or activities.  Most notably the Arnold Palmer's Childrens Hospital Bass Tournament and Annual Christmas Party for under privileged children were held on Lodge 25's property.
